Did you know we’re only 4 weeks away from 4th of July when we’ll celebrate our freedom, liberty, and independence. As Americans we typically honor our independence by waving our American flags high, grilling our favorite meat, and ending the day watching fireworks set to our favorite patriotic music. Proud to be an American!
Cities and towns all around Texas are busy getting prepared for the 4th of July celebration. Organizers are investing a lot of their time, money, and energy into preparing for the most exciting moment of the day when the first firework is launched into the dark night sky.
Large cities like New York, Boston, and Philadelphia can spend as much as $2.5 million dollars on fireworks display, while our very own Texas town Addison, a Dallas suburb, can spend $250,000 for their famous Kaboom Town. In fact, people call at least six months ahead of Kaboom Town to find out hotel rates during the 4th of July.
Kaboom Town was rated Top 10 July 4 Fireworks Displays in the United States by Forbes magazine, who called the small town fireworks display “a force to be reckoned with” and Top 5 Best Fireworks Displays by the Travel Channel. The spell-bounding 30-minute fireworks show is choreographed to pop-music and broadcasted on a live radio simulcast on 100.3 JACK FM.
Nothing complements great fireworks like good food. Addison is known for its more than 170 restaurants. There will be live music on the Dos Equis Stage from the 531st National Guard Band of the Gulf Coast and Dallas Wind Symphony. And don’t miss the spectacular Addison Airport Air Show featuring the Cavanaugh Flight Museum Warbird Flyover. Even though Addison only has a population of 15,000 people Kaboom Town has been known to bring a crowd of more than a half a million people.
So whether you’re are considering visiting Addison’s Kaboom Town or your local fireworks display you’ll want to be sure to pack a bag or two of our Texas Treats Texas Firecrackers Crackers. These baked snack crackers have a unique blend of spices with a Texas kick as you watch the fireworks. You’ll find yourself repeating the words Texans have echoed for years – “They’re kinda’ hot and darn good … can I have another?” Enjoy them anytime by the hand full!
