A Look Back on 2013

New Year’s Eve is just around the corner! For a list of Texas locales to visit during for celebrations, take a look here.

For today’s post we wanted to take a look back at the year. Lots happened this year. In order to really make sure that we move forward with a fresh 2014, it’s important to take a look back at the year that happened.

From a new pope to celebrity babies, 2013 featured some unique (and funny moments). We remember those we lost – great figures like Nelson Mandela – as well as wacky events like the Russia meteor strike.

Here’s a few places that have catalogued the important events of the year: (warning – important may not always be the appropriate term to use here)

  • Endmemo has a list with links to the important events.
  • Huffington Post’s list of the important Summer Events, with a pop culture focus.
  • History Orb has a long list of events (many tragic) of 2013 events.

What are some of the 2013 memories that you will treasure for years to come? New family members? A perfect vacation? An item on your bucket list checked off? Maybe you didn’t have the best 2013, but know that 2014 can be a new start with a turn of the page. Here at Texas Treats, we hope you have a Happy New Year with many goodies to  make your life sweet!
